LQD Assets Founder Morgan Salsman Named to Forbes 30 Under 30

Born and raised in Kentucky’s bourbon country, Salsman started investing in bourbon barrels in her early twenties. What began as personal interest quickly turned into something bigger. In 2022, she founded LQD Assets to bring structure, transparency, and long-term thinking to bourbon as an investable asset.
Today, LQD Assets manages approximately 14,000 barrels on behalf of around 100 investors. The company’s warehousing arm stores more than 70,000 barrels across three facilities, supporting both investment and brand partners with secure storage and operational expertise.
“I always knew I wanted to build something of my own,” said Salsman. “I didn’t have a clear roadmap, but I wanted to create something meaningful — something that reflected who I am and the industry I grew up around.”

The company treats barrels as tangible, long-term assets, pairing deep regional knowledge with a disciplined investment and operations model. This approach has helped investors gain access to premium barrels backed by real infrastructure and relationships.
